Machine Page Format (MPF)

Specification and reference implementation of MPF — the machine-native representation of a web resource, published alongside its human-readable page.

Machine audiences receive a first-class representation of the same resource, generated from the page itself: never a rewritten, cleaned-up or translated copy.

  • mpf-build/ — reference implementation: a Node.js CLI that generates .mpf companion files from static HTML pages. Package name: @esfi/mpf-build.

Quick start (reference implementation)

cd mpf-build
npm install
npm run start -- /path/to/site --config /path/to/site/mpf.config.json
